About Offering Counters
If balancing your checkbook is exciting and rewarding, you probably have the talents to be a team member in the Finance Ministry! Work as a team of two to count and document the offering collected during the Sunday service.
Spiritual Gifts: Administration, Service, Discernment
Role Description: The team processes the offering during the service. This is a great ministry for those who are detail oriented, comfortable handling money and numbers, and want to serve in a “behind the scenes” role.
Time commitment: The entire process takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Teams serve once or twice a month.
Training: Hands-on and usually takes one or two Sundays (done while the regular team is counting)
POLICY: Volunteers will receive a copy of Urban Refuge's Fraud Policy, go through a background check process and must sign an Acknowledgement Form with two qualifiers: 1) Must have attended The Urban Refuge for at least 6 months, and 2) Will count the offering with at least one person who is not a family member.
Shadow for a Day Option: Yes
